The conflict between Renfe and its machinists, who have been five days of strike and faced new unemployment next week, comes to an end.
The union of the machinists, SEMAF, and renamennounces at the last minute of this Thursday that have reached an agreement that allows annuling the scheduled stops for today and for Monday and Tuesday, just coinciding with the bridge.

Both parties had been exchanging accusations week and a half.
Renfe criticized that some machinists were not fulfilling minimum services.
The union accused RENFE not to inform the machinists who had to execute them.
According to Semaf, the company “has decided to meet the demands to recover the public service that the company lended the company to the citizens before the Covid.”

“The Renfe group has agreed to recover all trains, all the templates and the integrity of the public company and its employees,” he said in a statement.

The reasons for the strike were not salary.
The machinists accused Renfe of having suspended trains with the excuse of the pandemic.
The Company, for its part, has explained that they have maintained talks with the Machinist Union “since they started the protests, despite the failure to comply with the minimum services,” in order to reach this agreement.

He adds that he contemplates “a series of measures to progressively recover services suppressed by the pandemic”, something that “Renfe is already carrying out”.
He insists that the new machinists who are incorporated “must overcome the necessary training and homologation processes prior to the start of travelers traffic driving activity”.
“These training and homologation processes have been delayed due to the pandemic,” he insisted.

The union says that at present the railway services presented “a deficit of 861 trains less a day, compared to a similar day of 2019”.
These figures, according to the trade union organization, suppose “25,830 trains less than the month and 309,960 trains less a year”.
“A service that the company had deteriorated taking advantage of the Covid 19 pandemic, and that it did not intend to recover,” they criticized.

They have crossed the operator to have “drawn the strategy to remove trains to eliminate personnel and without workers and not to recover trains.”
“They have even left populations without any service,” they have stressed.

Finally, the collective of machinists has taken advantage to move that they regret “deeply” the situation “which, caused by the Renfe group”, have had to live railroad users during these strike days.
