Harzgerode (dpa/sa) – After a car accident in which two people were injured near Harzgerode, the police found the driver had a breath alcohol level of 1.25 per mille. The 22-year-old lost control of his vehicle in a curve on the B 242 on Saturday night, according to the police in Halberstadt. The car skidded, rolled over and stopped at the side of the road. The 38-year-old passenger and another 43-year-old occupant were slightly injured. The driver was not injured, according to police. The car was a total write-off.
The officials initiated investigations into the 22-year-old driver for endangering road traffic, secured his driver’s license and prohibited him from continuing to drive.
