Oschersleben (dpa/sa) – For the insolvent confectionery manufacturer Bodeta from Oschersleben, the search for investors seems to have been successful. The company announced on Friday that contract negotiations are in progress. “The investor interest is a sign of hope for Bodeta and its employees,” emphasized Managing Director Markus Letsch. Until a decision has been made, there will be no information on the details.
Bodeta filed for insolvency under self-administration at the end of September due to rising energy and raw material prices. The district court of Magdeburg has meanwhile opened the proceedings. Production continues in part in three-shift operation in order to be able to fulfill the orders, as the company announced. The company did not lose a customer during the process. All of the approximately 100 employees will continue to be employed.
Bodeta Confectionery was founded in 1892. The company specializes in the production of sweets and dragees. Bodeta is best known for the green-packaged eucalyptus menthol candies.
