Halle (dpa/sa) – After three unsuccessful collective bargaining rounds in the metal and electrical industry in Saxony-Anhalt, around 100 employees of the pump manufacturer KSB in Halle took part in a warning strike. The protest lasted two hours on Tuesday, according to a spokeswoman for IG Metall. Last Friday, employee representatives and the employer side again parted ways in Magdeburg without any result.
The union is demanding eight percent more money and wants to anchor this increase in a collective agreement that will run for twelve months if possible. She refuses one-off payments. The opposite side – the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry Saxony-Anhalt (VME) – recently proposed a one-off payment of 3000 euros.
The spokeswoman for the union announced on Tuesday further warning strikes in Halberstadt, Schönebeck, Hettstedt and Magdeburg for the coming days.
