Salzwedel (dpa/sa) – In the center of Salzwedel, a hall of a car paint shop caught fire. The fire was reported early Wednesday afternoon, and the extinguishing work was underway, according to the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel police station. One person was taken to the hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The adjacent street is closed because the fire hoses are there. Nothing was initially known about the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
