Wernigerode (dpa/sa) – With the changeover to the winter timetable, the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) will partially restrict their offer from November 7th. As the company announced on Friday, maintenance work on tracks and vehicles is to be carried out in November. For this purpose, parts of the 140-kilometer route network will be closed.

According to the information, no trains will run on the Selketalbahn and Harzquerbahn between Ilfeld and Drei Annen Hohne from the timetable change up to and including November 24th. There is no alternative transport. The train traffic between Wernigerode, Drei Annen Hohne and the Brocken as well as between Nordhausen and Ilfeld is not affected by the closures.

From November 25, trains will be running again on the entire HSB route network. By the end of the winter timetable in March, there will be up to six regular trips to the Harz summit, and sometimes even more often during the holidays and on public holidays.
