Halle (dpa/sa) – In Saxony-Anhalt, more commercial enterprises were registered in the first half of this year than were abandoned. In the first six months, around 10,900 business notifications were registered by the authorities. Around 5,800 of these were registrations and around 5,100 were deregistrations, as the State Statistical Office in Halle announced on Wednesday. The number of registrations increased by three percent compared to the first half of 2021, while the number of business deregistrations fell slightly by 0.4 percent.

The state capital of Magdeburg and the districts of Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, Jerichower Land and Salzlandkreis had the clearest excess of registrations. According to the statistics authority, most business registrations were made in trade and in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
