Wernigerode (dpa/sa) – Abstract drawings, depictions of animals and plants, letters, words and landscapes: in the Rectorate’s villa at the Harz University of Applied Sciences in Wernigerode, a new exhibition shows works by Korvin Reich. After the vernissage of “Individually Heiter” on Wednesday, the show can be seen until the end of February 2023. According to the university, drawings, paintings and poetry by the master student of the Berlin University of the Arts will be presented. In his art, Reich combines painting with images, concepts, as well as the structural and the spontaneous. Everyday observations are supplemented with bizarre scenes in words and pictures.
Born in 1970 in Verden, Lower Saxony, the artist lives and works in Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains. According to his own statements, he wanted to “observe and represent the transcendent perception of reality”. To this end, Reich has “opened up a thematically diversified area,” according to the multi-award-winning artist.
