Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The registered corona incidence in Saxony-Anhalt continues to fall and was just above the 100 mark on Saturday. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) put the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week at 103.5. 264 new infections with the corona virus were therefore registered, as were two other deaths related to the virus. Across Germany, the seven-day incidence on Saturday was 209.4.

However, experts assume that many corona cases are not recorded because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. Only these are counted in the statistics. In addition, not all health authorities report their data on a daily basis, especially at the weekend and at the beginning of the week there can be a delay.

In Saxony-Anhalt, the city of Halle currently has the highest registered value at 172.8, while the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld has the lowest at 65.5.
