Southern Anhalt (dpa/sa) – Three men have been arrested in connection with the blasting of ticket machines at different locations. As the police announced on Friday, the three men, aged 21 and 28, are said to have blown up four ticket machines on different days in February, partially completely destroying them. Accordingly, a ticket machine exploded early on Sunday morning (February 26) in the district of Weißandt-Gölzau in the municipality of southern Anhalt. Shortly thereafter, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested nearby. The second suspect, aged 28, was found in a nearby town and arrested by means of shoe marks in the snow, which emanated from the alleged getaway car.
The third suspect was reportedly arrested during searches in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district and in the Salzland district. Evidence was also seized. All four blasts resulted in total damage of around 100,000 euros. The amount of the loot is said to be in the lower five-digit range. Arrest warrants were issued against the three suspects. She is being investigated for aggravated gang theft.
