The Bautzen district announced on Thursday that the mass development had been detected during the ongoing monitoring of the bathing water. Streaks formed on the surface, the water was very cloudy and visibility was very limited. Some types of blue-green algae could form toxins and pose a danger to bathers. Skin or mucous membrane irritation or even allergic reactions could occur, especially in sensitive people.
