Berlin/Dresden (dpa/sn) – The Dresden daycare center Bergfelderweg is in the final of the German Daycare Prize 2023 competition. During a two-day visit in January and February next year, experts want to get a comprehensive picture of the work on site, shared the German Children and Youth Foundation on Tuesday in Berlin. Discussions would also be held with the management, specialists, the provider as well as with children and parents. By the time the winners are announced in May 2023, the expert jury also wants to get an idea of ??the nine other finalists.

There are 84 places in the day-care center in Dresden’s Seidnitz district, including four for children with special needs. There are also a total of three floors with different themed rooms and a spacious outdoor area. The facility is managed by Cornelia Kamenka.

The German Kita Prize is awarded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs and the German Children and Youth Foundation, among others. In addition to a trophy, the winners will receive prize money of 25,000 euros. The institution in second place should receive 10,000 euros.
