Dresden (dpa / sn) – Saxony’s Greens advocate a successor solution for the 9-euro ticket. “38 million tickets sold speak for themselves: the 9-euro ticket needs a follow-up offer,” said country manager Marie Müser on Friday. The Saxon Greens support the proposal of their parliamentary group for a 29-euro ticket with regional validity and a 49-euro ticket that can be used nationwide. It should be financed by a reform of the Tuesday car privilege. In addition, public transport urgently needs to be improved. The 9-euro ticket expires at the end of August.
