Plauen (dpa / sn) – A driver wanted to show his driving skills in the parking deck of a supermarket in Plauen (Vogtlandkreis) and caused a lot of property damage. Instead of getting his car to drift, the 20-year-old lost control of his vehicle on Tuesday evening and crashed into the market’s ventilation system, the police said on Wednesday.

“Drifting” is about letting the rear of the vehicle swerve in a controlled manner when cornering. The driver and his 18-year-old passenger were not injured, but there was damage of 12,500 euros. The police filed a fine. The car was towed.
