Dresden (dpa/sn) – Saxony’s municipalities will each receive more than four billion euros from municipal financial equalization over the next two years. The amounts have been increased on the basis of the latest tax estimate – by 460 million euros to 4.1 billion in 2023 and by 455 million euros to 4.5 billion euros in 2024. This was shared by the Ministry of Finance, the City and Municipal Council and the District Council on Friday with Because of the imponderables of the Ukraine war, 300 million euros are put into a pension reserve. The financial equalization is to be decided by the state parliament together with the double budget 2023/24.
