Dresden (dpa/sn) – The European festival for young directors “Fast Forward” in Dresden is entering its sixth round. From November 10th to 13th it will present eight directorial manuscripts from Belgium, Lithuania, Austria, Sweden, Serbia and Spain, as the Staatsschauspiel announced on Wednesday. With a total of 22 performances, the audience can “let themselves be surprised, irritated, touched or made to think by the youngsters”. The supporting program with parties and award ceremony made the festival an entertaining theater festival again – after two hybrid editions in 2020 and 2021 due to corona.
“Fast Forward” is intended to make young European theater talent visible, offer an international stage and promote space for discoveries, young talent, cultural exchange and cross-border communication. The one-off meeting was initiated in 2011 at the Braunschweig State Theater (Lower Saxony) and brought with him by Artistic Director Klement when he moved to the Elbe in 2017.
