Dresden (dpa / sn) – Saxony’s state parliament president Matthias Rößler has conveyed confidence to the citizens of the Free State. In his Christmas message on Friday, he first addressed the war in Ukraine, which has forced millions of people to flee. In Saxony, economic and social concerns in particular would bring discord, social cohesion was noticeably challenged by price increases and inflation. “In view of these turbulent times, however, we shouldn’t let ourselves be unsettled. Instead, let’s reflect on the strength of our country.”
“Charity and consideration are essential. The past two years of the corona pandemic have shown this. Countless people have supported our community during this time. A lot can be learned from the experience of a crisis that has been overcome. That’s why we should now – despite worries and bottlenecks – be guided by confidence,” stressed the President of the Landtag.
