Großschirma (dpa/sn) – A rescue dog found a missing mushroom picker in the district of Mittelsachsen. Relatives of the man had alerted the police on Friday evening out of concern, the officials said on Monday. Since the pensioner, who was in poor health, had already disappeared since midday, a person tracking dog was used. The search was suspended on Saturday night due to rain and thunderstorms. On Saturday morning, the man was found safely in the forest with the help of several dog teams. He had fallen down a cliff while looking for mushrooms.
