Wüstenbrand (dpa/sn) – Three people were seriously injured in a traffic accident on Autobahn 4 near Wüstenbrand (Zwickau district) on Sunday afternoon. They were taken to the surrounding hospitals, said the Zwickau police department on request. Rescue helicopters were also deployed. The police initially had no information on the identity of the persons concerned. Four vehicles were involved in the accident, officials said. A car crashed into the guardrail and the following cars drove up. The accident happened in the direction of Erfurt between the junctions Wüstenbrand and Hohenstein-Ernstthal.
