Pockau-Lengefeld (dpa/sn) – A train on the Erzgebirge railway collided with a car at a level crossing in Pockau-Lengefeld (Erzgebirge district). The 67-year-old driver suffered minor abrasions in the collision on Wednesday morning, according to the federal police. The engine driver and the four passengers on the train were unharmed. The car and the train were damaged. The federal police are investigating dangerous interventions in rail traffic. According to the federal police, the driver obviously overlooked the warning signal, a flashing light at the St. Andrew’s cross, and drove his car over the level crossing. The car was caught at the rear, it was said.
