Rochlitz / Chemnitz (dpa / sn) – Unknown people have thrown a manhole cover, a toilet bowl and a boulder onto the road from a bridge over the A72 motorway. A 37-year-old driver suffered a shock and was taken to a hospital, the police in Chemnitz said on Tuesday. Accordingly, the perpetrators threw the objects on the road towards Leipzig on Monday evening near the Rochlitz connection (central Saxony). Two cars and a van drove over the objects. The vehicles were damaged, were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. They suffered damage totaling around 26,000 euros. The police are looking for witnesses.

It was not until the beginning of the month that strangers had thrown a toilet bowl on the A72 towards Leipzig, not far from the point between the Niederfrohna and Penig junctions. Four cars and a truck were damaged.
