The Autonomous Communities have notified the Ministry of Health 292,394 new cases of Covid-19, 44,039 of them diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
These figures are lower than the same day of last week, when 372,766 positive were reported.
Spain thus closes the Christmas holidays with more than two million contagion since December 10.

The total number of contagions in Spain is already raised to 7,457,300 from the beginning of the pandemic, according to official statistics.
The incidence accumulated in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 2989.47, compared to 2722.27 last Friday.

In the report of this Monday, 202 new deaths have been added, compared to 168 last Monday.
Up to 90,136 people with positive diagnostic test have died since the virus arrived in Spain, according to the data collected by the ministry.

Currently, there are 16,496 patients admitted by Covid-19 throughout Spain (14,426 Friday) 2,200 in ICU (2,056 Friday).
In the last 24 hours there have been 2.023 income (2,010 Friday) and 997 high (1,078 Friday).
The rates of occupation of beds occupied by Coronavirus is 13.40 percent (11.79% Friday) and in the ICU at 23.58 percent (22.06% Friday).

The Autonomous Communities have carried out 2,068,350 diagnostic tests, of which 965,458 have been PCR and 1,102,892 antigen test, with a global rate per 100,000 inhabitants of 4,398,29.

Meanwhile, the positivity rate is at 37.12%, compared to 33.16 percent on Friday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that this data is below 5 percent to consider as ‘controlled’ the propagation of the virus.
