The Foundation for the Defense of the Spanish Nation (Danaes), from which Vox was born, and the PieEnPared association, promoted by Juan Carlos Girauta, organize a demonstration in Madrid for the unity of Spain and against the amnesty planned by the PSOE with the independentistas to achieve the investiture of Pedro Sánchez.

Under the motto Let’s defend unity, the mobilization takes place this Sunday, October 29, in the Plaza de Colón in Madrid.

The entire Vox leadership will attend the demonstration, led by Santiago Abascal. Former members of the PP and Ciudadanos such as Esperanza Aguirre, Jaime Mayor Oreja, Marcos de Quinto and Fernando Savater have also confirmed their presence.

As a prelude to Sunday’s rally, Vox held on Thursday the event ‘The amnesty: an attack on the Constitution and the Spanish people’ held in the Congress of Deputies.

At this event, the conclusions of a report prepared by the Disenso foundation and sent to all European deputies were presented so that they could learn in their countries about the “seriousness” and “critical” situation that Spain is “facing.” Ricardo Ruiz, head of studies and training at Disenso, assured that the document “dismantles” the “pretended amnesty” and points out what “is probably the most serious issue” of “the Spain of our time”: the “threat that looms about our rule of law,” Servimedia reports.

The manifesto of the October 19 rally begins like this: “The amnesty prepared by Pedro Sánchez is a new step towards the breakdown of coexistence and legality. A new step that responds to partisan interests with the aim of staying in power. It means a general forgiveness of crimes committed by secessionism, which violates the fundamental principles of the rule of law and equality before the law. All people, regardless of their position or condition, must be held accountable for their actions in a Democratic system”.

Half a hundred associations, some from Jaén, Cartagena, Burgos, Oviedo or Granada, have joined the call, highlighting some such as Neos, Dolça Catalunya, S’ha Acabat!.

The demonstration against the amnesty takes place at 12:00 this Sunday, October 29, in the Plaza de Colón in Madrid.

The Madrid City Council reports that from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. (approximately) incidents and traffic cuts are expected in Plaza de Colón and recommends avoiding private vehicle circulation in the affected area.

It must be taken into account that throughout the day on Sunday other incidents are planned regarding the circulation of vehicles in the following areas of the city: Plaza de España, Gran Vía, San Bernardo and Plaza de Santo Domingo during business hours. 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and, in the afternoon (from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), on Paseo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles, Paseo de Recoletos and Plaza de Colón.
