With Oscar and Moisés established as contestants, fighting for a jackpot of just over a million euros, the Pasapalabra carousel stars the famous people who visit the Antena 3 set. Every three programs four well-known faces arrive with the aim of helping to add points in the applicants’ boxes. The new guests who must express their knowledge and good humor are Almudena Cid, Abel AntónJorge Roelas and Marta Belenguer. Let’s get to know this latest guest a little better.
Marta Belenguer was born in Valencia 54 years ago. Since she trained at the Higher School of Dramatic Art in the capital of Turia, the actress has carved out a long career in the field of acting.
His first appearance on television was in 1995 in the legendary series Farmacia de Guardia. Later she worked sporadically on other small screen projects: La casa de los líos, El comisario, Let’s get to work, Under suspicion, Here there is no one who lives or Cámara Café, where she gave life to the character of Nacha Ruiz.
“At 22 I started on television with all the enthusiasm one can have. I did a lot of theater and did many series, but always in secondary characters… But then I did Here there is no one who lives and although it was a small character, it made me popular and that’s how I came to Camera, which meant a before and after for me. I think that No One Lives Here and Camera were important turning points, which have allowed me to opt for cooler things,” the actress highlighted in an interview on LOC from Elmundo.es.
More recently, she has been in the cast of series such as Señoras del (h)AMPA, Todo lo otro or Cuéntame como paso.
Regarding her film career, Marta Belenguer debuted in the film Tranvía a la Malvarrosa (1997), by José Luis García Sánchez, although it was a short film that had the greatest success. In 2003, the Valencian acted in an Oscar-nominated short: 7:35 in the morning, by Nacho Vigalondo. The piece became extremely popular in Spain and opened the doors to numerous and varied characters. Like that of María José, the protagonist of The Future is in Porn (2005), another short piece applauded in the 15 Seconds Short Series.
Belenguer has participated in twenty feature films in the last two decades, highlighting films such as Jealousy (1999), by Vicente Aranda; Shacky Carmine (1999), by Chema de la Peña or The Great Martian (2000), by Antonio Hernández.
His last years have been frenetic in cinema, releasing one film per year: Journey to Somewhere (2020), by Helena Fernández de Llanos; Camera Café, the movie (2021), by Ernesto Sevilla; In low season (2021), by David Marques; Little Calvarios (2023), as well as For Your Dead, by Sayago Ayuso, which will be in theaters next year.
All this without counting his career in theater, where he has been part of the cast in twenty plays.
In his previous participations in the Antena 3 contest, Belenguer demonstrated a great feeling that he puts into every action he performs. Same as in front of the camera.
