Bad Tennstedt (dpa/th) – An 84-year-old woman died in a fire in Bad Tennstedt in the Unstrut-Hainich district on Wednesday morning. The police said on Wednesday that a fire had broken out in a residential building for reasons that have not yet been clarified. Emergency services could have saved a 62-year-old resident. He was taken to hospital with severe smoke inhalation. The police have started investigations into the cause of the fire, it said.
