Erfurt (dpa/th) – Fewer trades were registered in Thuringia from January to October than in the same period last year. At the same time, the number of business deregistrations went up slightly, according to data published by the Thuringian State Office for Statistics on Tuesday. Accordingly, in the first ten months of the current year 8979 registrations were registered. That was 218 fewer than in the same period last year (minus 2.4 percent). The number of cancellations, on the other hand, was 8455, 223 higher (plus 2.7 percent) than in the same period of 2021.

The main reason for most business deregistrations was the complete abandonment of the business. With 2171 advertisements, most of the business registrations were in the field of “trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles”. In this branch, with 2153 advertisements, the most cancellations were also registered.
