Erfurt (dpa/th) – The state district of Thuringia of the police union (GdP) also wants to use so-called bodycams in apartments. The GdP demanded this on Friday in Erfurt. The red-red-green state government and the CDU agreed on Thursday to introduce the cameras to the Thuringian police, but to limit their use to work, business and business premises.

“As GdP, we see the present draft law as a first step in the right direction,” said the state board. However, the fact that recordings should not be allowed in living rooms must be changed. Bodycams are cameras that emergency services wear on their bodies, for example to be able to take pictures of attacks against them to preserve evidence.
