Erfurt (dpa/th) – The agricultural, forestry and food fair “Green Days” in Erfurt has had to accept a drop in visitors after a forced break due to corona. About 22,000 people have flocked to the exhibition center in Erfurt since Friday, as a spokeswoman for the fair announced on Sunday. The last edition before the 2018 pandemic had 30,000 visitors. The day with the most visitors was Saturday. A development that can also be observed at other trade and visitor fairs has been confirmed, according to which the number of visitors is around a third below the pre-Corona level.
220 exhibitors were represented at the “Green Days”, mostly from Thuringia, but also from some European countries. The direct marketers and the hands-on offers from farmers and foresters were particularly popular. This applies, for example, to driving a tractor, where visitors can get behind the wheel of tractors.
According to Messe GmbH, Erfurt is the second largest trade fair location in the five eastern German states.
