Straußfurt (dpa/th) – A man died in a traffic accident between Henschleben and Straußfurt (Sömmerda district) on Thursday. The 62-year-old had lost control of his car just behind a level crossing for reasons that have not yet been clarified and drove into the oncoming lane and into an oncoming truck, the police said on Thursday afternoon. The 62-year-old was reportedly injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. The 28-year-old truck driver was not injured. The federal highway 4 remained completely blocked for several hours.
