Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) – In the future, the Aschaffenburg-Alzenau clinic wants to provide its nursing staff with an electric car free of charge in the increasingly tough competition for nursing staff. For this purpose, 600 fully electric vehicles are to be leased, a spokeswoman for the clinic said on Thursday of the German Press Agency. She confirmed a report by the “Main-Echo”. The offer is initially valid for two years. So far, the reactions of the employees have been consistently positive.
“It’s an attractive extra income,” said the spokeswoman. “On the one hand, it should express our appreciation, but also increase our attractiveness as an employer,” she said. In the future, the nursing staff could use the company vehicles both for trips to work and privately. In a new multi-storey car park, 50 charging stations are to be built where cars can be charged with electricity free of charge. According to the spokeswoman, at least part of the electricity should come from photovoltaic systems that are to be installed on new buildings that are currently being built for an operating center and a parent-child house. Funding comes from the hospital budget using public funding opportunities.
In the highly competitive job market for nursing staff, numerous bonus campaigns by clinics have recently become known in order to retain staff or recruit new staff. Among other things, exchange bonuses were offered and working hours shortened. It is known from nursing services that vehicles used for business purposes can also be taken home in order to avoid detours.
The managing director of the Munich clinic, Axel Fischer, whose house has also developed a system of bonuses for nursing staff, said there was courtship with incentives (incentives) for nursing staff. “That’s not the way out of history,” said Fischer. Bonuses are not the right way, but an action out of necessity.
