Erfurt (dpa/th) – A toddler was freed from a locked car in Erfurt after his mother accidentally locked him in it. The 34-year-old dropped the key in the car on Wednesday morning when she put the one-year-old girl in the car, the police said on Thursday. Accordingly, the case triggered the central locking. The mother didn’t notice and closed the door. It was then impossible to get hold of the child. The woman alerted the police. With the help of a towing company, the car was opened about 45 minutes later. The little girl was doing well and could be handed over to her mother, it was said.
