Weimar (dpa/th) – An arrest warrant has been issued against a 46-year-old man from the Saale-Holzland district on suspicion of child abuse. The police in Weimar announced on Thursday that it was about serious sexual abuse of an eleven-year-old boy. The cases of abuse became known to the police last weekend and are said to have lasted for a year.
According to the police, the boy had contact with the suspect via various Internet platforms during this period. Since the summer there have been several meetings between the child and the accused. The eleven-year-old had been sexually abused by the man in more than ten cases, so the suspicion. According to the police, the arrest warrant was already executed on Wednesday. Extensive evidence was seized by the police. The suspect could face a year in prison if convicted.
