Three people were seriously injured when two vans and a truck collided on Autobahn 5 near the Bad Homburger Kreuz. As the Frankfurt fire brigade announced, all three were brought into the jacks. A driver was trapped in his van and was freed by the fire brigade at great expense – also with the help of a fire brigade crane. A rescue helicopter was also deployed.

The fire brigade did not provide information on the course of the accident. The A5 in the direction of Kassel was completely closed for the time of the rescue work early Thursday evening. There was a long backlog. Not all road users immediately formed a rescue lane, which made it difficult for some rescue vehicles to get there.
