The attraction of a huge dragon at the Disney theme park in Anaheim (California), caught fire on Saturday night without leaving anyone injured.
The flames, whose origin is still being investigated, started on the head of the dragon from “Fantasmic!” and extended to the entire structure.
Visitors, Disneyland reported, were evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island, where the show is being presented.
“We saw some little explosions coming out of the head, and then all of a sudden the whole dragon was swallowed up, and then a worker started coming out escorting everyone for safety,” a park visitor told ABC.
The 40-foot-tall Fantasmic attraction debuted at Disneyland in 1992 and runs twice a night on Tom Sawyer’s Island.
