A man wanted by an arrest warrant crashed a van in Ueckermünde (West Pomerania-Greifswald) and was caught by the police. As a police spokesman said on Monday, the 41-year-old man missed a larger roundabout on Landesstraße 31 on Sunday night and drove straight there. The transporter hit some barriers and traffic signs and only came to a stop several meters later on the traffic island in front of a boat set up there. The driver and his 18-year-old passenger were injured.
