The holidays published in the BOE can be three typologies: non-substitutable national festival (mandatory celebration throughout the territory), a substitutable national festival (the territories can choose it or not) and party of the autonomous community.
This 2021 the eight non-substitutable holidays are: January 1 (Friday, New Year), April 2 (Good Friday), May 1 (Saturday, Labor Festival), October 12 (Tuesday, Hispanic Festival)
, November 1 (Monday, All Saints), December 6 (Monday, Day of the Constitution), December 8 (Wednesday, Immaculate Conception), December 25 (Saturday, Christmas).
They added on January 6, Epiphany of the Lord, set as a substitutable festive but that all the Autonomous Communities decided to incorporate it into their work calendars.
The workers of the city of Madrid will have a festive on Tuesday, November 9, by celebrating the feast of the Almudena, Patrona de la Capital.
