The federal government wants to install one million public charging points for electric cars by 2030. So far there are just around 70,000. “Electromobility is something you have to experience. If you’ve driven an electric car, there’s really no reason why you still have to drive a combustion engine,” says Volker Lazzaro, Managing Director of the charging cable manufacturer Mennekes, in the podcast “ntv mobil”.

On the other hand, says Christian Hieff, press spokesman for ADAC Hamburg: “The lack of transparency is currently still the big problem with electromobility.” The ADAC complains that electric cars draw more energy from the grid when charging than is stored in the battery.

Norman Adelhütte discusses why rich and sustainable solutions are not yet available on “ntv mobil” – the podcast for mobility of today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
