Despite inflation and the energy crisis, there is a new themed restaurant at the Europa-Park site. The operators speak of a world first. The technology for this comes from our own company.
Rust (dpa/lsw) – Self-propelled armchairs, journey to the moon: On the edge of Europa-Park, a new luxury restaurant will open next Friday (November 4th).
The development of the adventure restaurant with unusual equipment took about five years, reported the managing partner of the amusement park, Thomas Mack.
The family business invested a total of around 20 million euros in the restaurant and newly designed suites in a neighboring hotel, Mack told the German Press Agency.
Guests are seated in armchairs that travel through the restaurant’s various themed rooms. The technology was developed by the roller coaster manufacturer Mack Rides in Waldkirch, which belongs to the Mack group of companies. A rocket launch towards the moon is simulated in one of the rooms.
It is Germany’s largest amusement park. The gourmet restaurant “Ammolite – The Lighthouse Restaurant”, which has two stars in the gourmet bible Guide Michelin, has been in a hotel in the complex for a long time. On request, Michelin said that it was not yet possible to give an assessment of the “Eatrenaline” because it had not yet opened.
“There is nowhere else in the world in this form,” said Mack, referring to the concept of the new restaurant. “We can go out into the world with that,” he added. There is interest from European metropolises as well as from New York and Shanghai. Mack developed the idea together with the CEO of the Swiss gastronomy company Marché International, Oliver Altherr.
According to Altherr, guests should be amazed. You get a fixed eight-course menu – the minimum price is 195 euros. Head chef Pablo Montoro from Alicante in Spain is responsible.
