David Bisbal gave an interview to El Hormiguero on Thursday, February 16. The singer, who attended the program to present a new single titled Chess, revealed what his last vice is.
“I don’t know if you play chess, but I know that when you get addicted to something, you go crazy. How many Rubik’s cubes can you have in your house?” Pablo Motos asked. “The culprit was my eldest daughter, who always comes with a new game and told me ‘dad, I don’t know how it works,'” said the musician, who decided to look for a tutorial to make the Rubik’s cube.
“I salute everyone on YouTube because they have been the ones who have really taught me how to make the Rubik’s cube. It is true that there was an obsession in me and I think I even bought the 12×12 one, crazy. The bad in “It’s my memory. I learned absolutely all the algorithms and it was perfect, but I think that now I don’t even remember the 4×4, honestly,” he confessed.
“There were some cubes that I liked because they were magnetic, which are up to 7×7. I like the ones that are even. I will have about 15 or 13. The ones I like the most are the 12×12 ones,” said the musician, who also told who spent his coronavirus disease making Rubik’s cubes. “It’s for fashion. I get into one thing and then I forget, I leave it,” he acknowledged.
During the interview, Bisbal gave some details of Chess, a theme that will be part of an album entitled I feel alive. “It’s a single that excites me a lot because I return to that more grounded rhythm again. I have many songs that have worked for me and that have that rhythm, for example Ave María, Esclavo de sus besos, Silencio… I return to that rhythm, but with a nineties and eighties essence”, he exposed.
“I have to prepare the tour, I have to talk to my musicians to select what elements we are going to take live and direct. It is a song and a sound that I have never presented to the public before,” added the interviewee.
