La Sexta aired the last installment of the eighth season of Pesadilla en la cocina on Thursday, February 23. Alberto Chicote and his team tried to help the Los 5 Sentidos restaurant, located in Coslada (Madrid). Although viewers were able to see many tense moments, the episode ended with a nice denouement that included a marriage proposal.
The first service after the reopening of the premises was a success. “That’s how nice it is to see them work. How happy I am!” Said the presenter when he verified that everything was working in the kitchen. Both workers and customers were satisfied. “It has taken a spectacular turn, everything is delicious,” said one of the diners.
Quique, the owner, wanted to give a thank you speech to motivate his employees. Some of their relatives were also with them. “Thank you very much to everyone for coming. Of course, Chicote, thank you very much for everything you have helped us and have taught us. We are a team, we have always been, we are still united and we are going to come out on top,” he said.
The owner had a surprise in store for Lourdes, his partner and cook at the establishment: “Above all, thanks to you, my love.” She told him: “Don’t make me cry again, I’ve been crying for a week.” He asked her to come closer, knelt down and took out an engagement ring: “Will you marry me?” She accepted his proposal and answered excitedly: “But how beautiful you are.”
Alberto Chicote posted a photo of Quique and Lourdes on Twitter, showing that they had already married before the broadcast of the installment of A Nightmare in the Kitchen in which they starred. “How cool! Long live the bride and groom!” Wrote the chef.
One of the most emotional moments of the program focused on The 5 Senses took place when Chicote took Quique and Lourdes to a movie theater, the place where their love was born. “I believe that there is a part of this film that is happening, that they are your lives now, that you are not seeing. Since I do not know why, I have decided to show it to you,” explained the presenter.
The couple was able to see several videos with messages from their loved ones. Pilar, the cook’s mother, and Borja, her son, as well as Manuel, a friend of the owner, appeared on the screen. All of them dedicated messages of affection, support and encouragement that managed to move them. “Without a doubt, this is the best film I’ve seen in the cinema. I would see it again a thousand times,” Quique commented.
