The Benidorm Fest 2023 is already in action. After the Opening gala last Sunday, from now on the 18 participants are playing for their passport to the Eurovision final on behalf of Spain.

The musical competition is made up of two semifinal galas, under the tutelage of the festival jury, and the grand final of the Benidorm Fest that will take place next Saturday, February 4.

The first semifinal of the Benidorm Fest will be held this Tuesday, January 31, while the second semifinalist gala will take place on the night of Thursday, February 2. A first round of participants among which will be the relief of Chanel Tornero in the musical contest.

When choosing the next representative of Spain in Eurovision, the organization repeats the voting system after the initial controversies last year.

Thus, televoting at Benidorm Fest 2023 has 25%, the Festival’s professional jury will have 50% of the decision and the remaining 25% will be made up of a group of citizens residing in Spain chosen by poll (350 people).

In the event of a tie, the professional jury will always decide the winner.

The Benidorm Fest has opted for a unified schedule in all its 2023 galas. Thus, the two semifinals of the festival will begin with a special program from 10:00 p.m., while the first performances will hit the stage from 10:50 p.m. hours.

The final next Saturday will start with a special program also from 10:00 p.m. and it will be from 10:50 p.m. when the program of performances begins.

Spectators who want to follow the development of Benidorm Fest 2023, both in the semifinal round and the grand final, can do so through RTVE.

The galas will be broadcast live on La 1 and streaming on the public channel platform.
