Fieldy broke the news of his absence in the blackout in a societal networking post earlier today. The past 6 years I have been dealing with some personal problems that sometimes have caused me to fall back on a few of my bad habits and has generated some tension with the people about me. It’s been suggested to me to take some time off to heal. I will respect what was asked of me and accept this moment. Unfortunately you won’t find me on stage with my band. I’ll be working towards obtaining the bad habits from my system. In the meantime I’ll be staying creative to maintain my mind & spirit in a fantastic place.
“I am thankful for all your support, patience and understanding as we all have something which we deal with.
“Jonathan, Munky, Ray and Head, I love you and I do not want to bring some tension or bad vibes into the circle”
Last month, KORN declared a U.S. summer tour including special guests STAIND on all dates. Manufactured by Live Nation, the coast-to-coast 28-city outing will kick off August 5 at West Palm Beach, Florida and also make stops from Long Island, Detroit, Irvine, Phoenix, Austin and much more, before wrapping up with a performance at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion on September 21.
Back in 2017, METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo’s then-12-year-old son Tye Trujillo filled in on bass for KORN’s South American tour following Fieldy was not able to create the shows due to”unforeseen conditions.”
Fieldy’s 2009 memoir, “Got The Life: My Journey Of Addiction, Faith, Recovery And Korn”, detailed his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction during KORN’s early years and how he became a born-again Christian to help get his life together and become sober.
KORN’s most up-to-date LP, “The Nothing”, arrived in September 2019 via Roadrunner/Elektra. The follow-up to 2016’s “The Serenity Of Suffering” was again produced by Nick Raskulinecz.
