The semifinal of the Women’s Soccer World Cup held this Tuesday swept away a record audience on TVE of almost two million viewers (1,921,000) on average who followed the game and a 45.4% audience share.
According to data released this Wednesday by the consulting firm Barlovento, practically one in two people who were in front of the television yesterday morning were following the evolution of Jorge Vilda’s players in a match between Spain and Sweden.
This match, which will allow the Spanish team to play a World Cup final for the first time in its history, was also the most watched match and the highest share of the 2023 Women’s World Championship.
Up to 3,755,000 people watched the match at the Eden Park Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, at some point, which ended with a victory for Spain over Sweden (2-1).
The golden minute of the game was at 11:54 am, at which time it was followed by 2.8 million on average, which represents a screen share of 54%.
