Daniel Grao, for The Invisible Girl; Anna Castillo, for Easy; the series La Unidad Kabul (Movistar Plus); Ana Rosa Quintana, for The Ana Rosa Program, and Andreu Buenafuente, for Nadie sabe nada are some of the nominees in the different categories of the 2023 Iris Awards, whose winners will be announced on November 21.

As reported by the Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts, these are some of the professionals and finalist programs for the 2023 Iris Awards, an edition that has had 622 nominations submitted by televisions, platforms, producers and members of the Academia, 200 more than in the last edition.

In the category of best presenter or presenter of news or informative programs, the Television Academy has decided that they will fight for the Iris Almudena Ariza Award, for Spaniards in conflict (La 1), Ana Pastor, for El Objetivo: special 8M, women in Iran (laSexta), Ana Rosa Quintana, for The Ana Rosa Program (Telecinco), Joaquín Prat, for Ya es mediodía (Telecinco), Sandra Golpe, for Antena 3 News 1 and Vicente Vallés, for Antena 3 News 2.

In the fiction categories, there are surprises. With five nominations, the Movistar Plus series, La Unidad Kabul is running as a favorite. He already got two statuettes last edition. The series by Dani de la Torre and Alberto Marini is present this time in the categories of best actor (Mehdi Regragui), best cinematography (Josu Inchaustegui), best script, best production and best fiction.

The series Citas Barcelona (Prime Video), La chica invisible (Disney), the recently released Las noches de Tefía (Atresplayer), Machos alfa (Netflix) and Rapa (Movistar Plus ) are also nominated for best fiction.

With regard to entertainment in the category of best presenter, the Academy has nominated Alfonso Arús, for Aruser@s (la Sexta), who will have to face Andreu Buenafuente for this award, for Nadie Sabe Nada (HBO Max), Jacob Petrus, for Here the Earth (La 1), Mercedes Milá, for Milá vs Milá (Movistar Plus) and Sandra Sabatés for El Intermedio (laSexta).

While the nominated entertainment programs are El Hormiguero (Antena 3), Soy Georgina (Netflix), La isla de las tentaciones (Telecinco), La Resistencia (Movistar Plus), MasterChef (La 1) and Traitors España (HBO Max), that precisely today has announced its open broadcast on DMAX.

In the coming weeks, along with the awards voted for by academics before a notary, a jury of renowned professionals will choose the Iris Jury Awards. In addition, a committee of experts will once again reward the most valued professionals and programs of the season with the Iris Specialized Press Award.

The Council of the Academy, made up of representatives of the Board of Directors, television channels, platforms and rights management entities, will be in charge of choosing the Autonomous Iris Awards. It will also be the Council of the Institution that grants, for another year, the Jesús Hermida Award 2023, in recognition of a professional career linked to the television medium.

The Iris Awards, which celebrate 25 years of history this edition, distinguish the excellence of professionals and programs broadcast between June 28, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
