Belén Rueda gave an interview to El Hormiguero on Monday, April 10. The actress, who presented the film Phenomena with Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, revealed that she was about to be born in a movie theater.
“Your mother almost had you in a cinema. Is it true that your mother wanted to continue watching the movie?” said Pablo Motos. “Yes. My father has always been very caring for my mother and, then, they were at the cinema watching a movie and she went into labor, she started having contractions,” he recounted.
“My father told him ‘let’s go to the hospital’ and my mother said ‘wait, I want to see the end’. He said ‘Belén, please, we have to go, you are going to have the girl here’. He did not have me there He didn’t get to see the end because his water broke and he said “I think I’m going to miss the end,” said the interpreter.
The actors presented Fénómenas, a film by Carlos Therón about the Hepta group. “When you make a story inspired by real events, the great luck is being able to talk to those people. They are three women, Sol, Piedad and Paloma, with whom we were talking for a long time. The Hepta group was formed thanks to Father Pilon, a priest who created this group. For example, something strange happens in your house, you feel some presence. So, this person calls the Hepta group and they go there,” he said.
“They investigate what happened in that house. There is a medium who contacts that dead person who is in the interface and who has not been able to pass to the other side. In some way, they help, along with Father Pilon, to can move on to the other phase,” he added.
Being a film about paranormal phenomena, the presenter asked the guests if they believed in this type of event. “I believe in these things a lot. I have believed in these things for a long time, in other stadiums. I don’t know scientifically how to explain it, but there is something there that has no explanation,” said Gutiérrez Caba.
Along with Belén Rueda and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, the cast of the feature film is completed by Gracia Olayo, Toni Acosta, Iván Massagué, Miren Ibarguren, Óscar Ortuño, Lorena López and Antonio Pagudo. The production will arrive on Netflix on Friday, April 14.
