BBC News presenter Maryam Moshiri has had to apologize after cameras caught her live doing a finger comb. Apparently, the cameras caught the presenter making this gesture just before one of the network’s news programs began. After realizing that she was live, Moshiri changed his expression and immediately said: “Live from London. This is BBC News.”
After what happened, the presenter has apologized on her Twitter account, where she claims that the cameras captured her while she was “joking” with the team behind the set. As she tells it, she was doing a “countdown” with her fingers before going live and, when there was only one second left, she stuck out her middle finger as a joke. “I didn’t realize it would be caught on camera,” she adds.
“‘It was a private joke with the team and I’m very sorry that it came out on the air,” he explains, and then apologizes in case what happened “offended anyone.”
