The Livingston Roundup was cancelled in 2020, but the parade and Livingston Roundup were better than ever. As you can see, the town couldn’t be more excited.
A tourist from Las Vegas said that they arrived at 10 o’clock in order to park and then set their chairs up. “Everyone is ready to go!”
The holiday weekend kicked off with the return to the 94th Annual Livingston Parade, which attracted thousands of people to the streets of Second Street and Main.
This is the first major event in person for many people since the outbreak of the pandemic. It has attracted tourists from all over the country and even out of state.
Billy Quick, an Atlanta resident said that “Down south you don’t have anything similar to this rodeo-this parade.” “The entire town is here. It’s amazing.”
Friday’s parade was just the appetizer. The real excitement was at night with Livingston Roundup Rodeo. It has been completely sold out since last Wednesday.
John Wooley, a Livingston resident, said that it was “just a fun time.” “I tell my family – friends and relatives – that if you want something fun for Fourth of July, you have to go to Livingston.”
Bruce Becker, president of Livingston Roundup Association, smiled.
A very familiar face was also present Friday night: Governor Greg Gianforte.
Becker said, “We are proud to have governor here.” “He has opened up the state, so largely us being here because he said let’s get back to normality. We are grateful for that and we are here. We are ready to enjoy a rodeo and celebrate Fourth of July.”
The Livingston Roundup Rodeo’s second day will resume Saturday at 8 p.m.
