Drunken driving, State Road: On Feb. 2, police were dispatched to the BP gas station after someone driving a blue Mercedes drove into the glass sliding doors.
The driver, who was outside of his car smoking a cigar, told the officer he accidentally put the car into drive. The man smelled like booze and stumbled on his feet. He admitted to drinking one beer.
After failing a Jokerbet field sobriety test, during which he swayed, he was arrested for drunken driving. He was also cited for the accident.
Drunken driving, Royalton Road: On Jan. 31, police observed a speeding Nissan Rogue on Royalton Road. While talking to the driver, the officer smelled like booze. The man, who fumbled through his wallet looking for his license, mumbled that he was headed home.
He admitted to having a couple of drinks. The officer also smelled marijuana. After failing a field sobriety test, the man was arrested for drunken driving. While searching the car, police found a baggie of marijuana and a bowl.
The driver later said he had four or five beers. He was also cited for drug abuse, speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Driving on sidewalk, Ridge Road: On Feb. 3, police observed a Ford Explorer, whose owner didn’t have a valid driver’s license, traveling west on Royalton Road.
The vehicle was pulled into the 3 Spot parking lot before driving across multiple parking lots and speeding to Creekwood. When the man arrived home, he ran into the house.
The police arrested the man for having a suspended license, driving on the sidewalk, obstructing official business, wanton disregard for safety and not having a driver’s license.
Drunken driving, Edgerton Road: On Feb. 1, police were dispatched to a car crash on Edgerton Road. An arriving officer located a maroon Chevy Silverado that drove off the road before hitting trees in the Metroparks.
The driver was standing next to the truck. While talking to the man, who had a bloody lip due to the airbag deployment, the officer smelled booze. The driver admitted to drinking.
After failing a field sobriety test, the man was arrested for drunken driving. Due to his injury, he was taken to the hospital. The man was also cited for lack of reasonable control.
Theft from building, Kingston Way: On Jan. 31, police were dispatched to a Kingston Way residence after its owner discovered a delivered package was missing.
The woman said her babysitter saw the package on the front steps when she left, but upon returning it was missing. The homeowner said she bought Green Bay Packers fleece, pacifiers, hoodie and t-shirts valued at more than $130.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
