North Hills High School alumna Leigh Ann Larkin is starring in a national tour of the musical “Cabaret.”
Larkin, a 1998 North Hills graduate and the daughter of school board President Ed Wielgus, is portraying Sally Bowles, the central character in “Cabaret.”
The 15-city tour kicked off in Toronto on Feb. 19 and concludes in Washington, D.C., in early August. Pittsburgh is not among the cities where performances are scheduled.
Larkin, who lives in New York City, has been performing since third grade, beginning with the North Star Kids group.
She said performing in the musical “is like a dream come true for me.”
Her credits include performances on Broadway in “A Little Night Music” and “Gypsy” as well film and TV appearances in “The Good Wife,” “Elementary,” “Lipstick Jungle,” “Flight of the Concords” and “Remember to Breathe.”
