A prankster passed out small Russian flags emblazoned with President Trump’s name to attendees at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference — where Trump supporters blindly waved the banners during his Friday morning speech until they were confiscated, according to online reports.

Photos posted on Twitter sahabet show people in the crowd holding the flags and a stern-faced young man with a lanyard around his neck as he scanned the audience while holding a bunch in his hands.

“Crowd at CPAC waving these little pro-Trump flags that look exactly like the Russian flag. Staffers quickly come around to confiscate them,” Snapchat’s Peter Hamby tweeted.

Another journalist reported that three conference attendees told him that “someone came around passing out flags as Trump took stage.”

“They saw red, white & blue — with ‘TRUMP’ stamped across it — and started to wave them. Gave no thought to Russian flag, they all said,” wrote Tim Alberta of Politico.
